That is the price of teaching Danes to doubt what they saw with their own eyes.
The grant went to the support association behind The Danish House in Palestine. The stated purpose was to challenge "simplified media narratives" about Palestine. According to the newspaper Berlingske, the project was delivered together with an organisation that has held a support event for the man behind the murder of innocent Israelis.
Read the wording again, because the wording is the whole operation. Nobody applies for public money to run propaganda. They apply for "critical engagement" with the "Palestinian narrative". It is written that way so the civil servant reading it has nowhere to put his objection. There is no sentence to point at. That is the design.
This is a pattern, not an accident. In 2023 the government froze aid to Palestine to make sure Danish kroner were not funding people who kill Jews. The review found nothing on the sanctions lists, and the agreement with The Danish House was tightened with an anti-terror clause. A paragraph was added. The money kept moving.
This April the same organisation was handed CISU's initiative prize. From the stage they called Danish development aid an instrument of political control. We pay them. The contempt is included in the price. Nobody in that room found it strange.
Let me be precise about what I am accusing here. Not a people. Not a faith. A funding machine, and the Danish officials who keep feeding it because saying no costs a spine and a headline they would rather avoid.
198,290 kroner is nothing. That is exactly what should frighten you. It was small enough that nobody checked. No control caught it, no minister caught it, no board caught it. A journalist caught it.
And Denmark is only the small, readable version. The Netherlands admitted its money had paid the salaries of two men indicted for murdering a 17-year-old Israeli girl, and it took two years and an external investigation before the funding stopped.
The European Court of Auditors reported that 7.4 billion euro went to NGOs between 2021 and 2023, that there is no reliable overview of who received it, and that nobody actively checks whether the recipients hold the values they are paid to promote.
That is not a Danish problem. That is the machine Europe built.
A country that cannot account for its own money has already handed the decision about its own future to someone else.
Go look. It is not hidden. Nobody has looked.
Close the till. Then name everyone who signed.
