ATHEISTS ARE THE MOST RELIGIOUS PEOPLE AROUND

They call themselves freethinkers. Yet they all think remarkably alike: Christianity is the biggest problem in the western world. Always. No matter the question.

They have turned doubt into dogma and mockery into liturgy. They evangelize harder than any pastor I know. Every Christmas star in a town hall, every cross on a wall, every hymn at a school ceremony triggers holy outrage. That is not skepticism. That is a religion with a minus sign in front.

And their courage? Highly selective. They roar at a religion that has gone through reformation, enlightenment and 500 years of self-criticism. A religion you can leave tomorrow, and nothing happens to you. No punishment. No exile. Nothing at all.

But face them with a religion where apostasy can cost you your life, where women are jailed for showing their hair, and where blasphemy carries the death penalty in several countries... and suddenly they become very concerned with "context" and "nuance".

What a coincidence that their fighting spirit grows as the cost of resistance shrinks.

380 million Christians live under persecution today. The most persecuted faith group in the world. But it doesn't fit the narrative, so it goes unmentioned. Instead, they wage crusades against Christmas carols in schools and prayers at public ceremonies.

The West stands on three pillars: Greek philosophy, Roman law and the Christian view of man. They use all three - free speech, the rule of law, love of neighbor - to saw off the branch they are sitting on. And they call it progress.

Fundamentalism is not defined by what you believe. It is defined by the moment you stop thinking. And on that point, they are more religious than they know.
