CUT THE ROOT, BURY THE WEST!
The Western world thinks it made itself.
That freedom was always here. That truth goes without saying. That justice and love of neighbor are things every human carries from birth. None of it is true. Nothing we call ours grew out of nothing.
It grew out of a root.
It did not begin in Athens, and it did not begin in Rome. It began with a small people who believed in one God who had bound Himself to them by a promise. Out of that soil came Christ. Out of Christ grew the Christian world. Two thousand years after He walked the earth, 2.3 billion people still carry that faith. No other faith on earth has been held by so many across such a stretch of time. And out of the Christian world grew everything we now take for granted and flatter ourselves that we invented.
Freedom. Truth. Justice that protects the weak as much as the strong. A love of neighbor that sees a whole human being in the stranger. These are not universal defaults. They are the fruit of one particular tree.
We are the green crown of that tree. The root lies buried in Jewish soil, and we have forgotten that it is the root that holds us up. We admire our own leaves and imagine they carry themselves.
And let me say it plainly: it is you, the cultural Christian, who has forgotten the root while still feeding on its fruit. I say this not to condemn you, but to wake you. You are not the enemy. You are the crown, same as the rest of us, and if you do not remember what holds you up, we all come down together.
Tear out the root, and the crown does not feel it at once. A tree can stand green long after it has died inside. Civilizations fall the same way. Not with a crash, but quietly, while everyone still walks around certain that everything is fine.
Look at the world that never got that root. China. Russia. Much of the Middle East. Power without conscience. Order held up by fear instead of mercy. The human being reduced to a piece on a board, and the state set in God’s place. That is not the exception in world history. That is the rule.
The freedom you are standing in right now is not normal. It is rare, dearly bought, and easy to lose. Remove the foundation, and we do not stay as we are, only without God. We become something else. A people without a root will, over time, change the very ground it stands on.
It forgets why it believed in the worth of the single human being. It forgets why truth once weighed more than power. And a people that no longer believes in its own foundation cannot defend it against anyone.
Then something stronger steps in.
Islam does not doubt itself. It burns for what it believes while the West is embarrassed by its own name and apologizes for its own history. History has always belonged to those who believe. The strongest conviction, the most deeply anchored foundation, wins in the end. Not because it is necessarily the most true, but because belief beats doubt every time the two meet.
We are not losing to Islam. We are losing to our own forgetting.
To those who already have their answer ready…
Someone will say: “But the Jews don’t even believe in Jesus. They spit on Christians in Israel. Only fake Christians support the Jews.”
Let us tear that claim in half, so there is nothing left to argue with.
If that argument held, a Christian would also have to despise Buddhists, because they don’t believe in Christ. And Hindus. And Sikhs. And atheists. And every other soul on earth who does not bow to the name of Jesus.
That is not love of neighbor. It is the exact opposite of everything Christianity is built on.
Jesus Himself hung on the cross and prayed: forgive them, they know not what they do. If you call yourself a Christian and at the same time set yourself up as judge over an entire people, then you have placed yourself above Jesus. Then you have misunderstood every word you claim to believe.
And look at what you are actually doing. You are condemning a whole people today for something that happened 2000 years ago. Shall we do the same to you? Shall we hold you and your family accountable for everything your ancestors did twenty generations back? Is that justice? To persecute an entire people for a sin none of the living ever committed?
Are there extreme Jews? Of course. They exist in every religion. In yours too. But then let us speak honestly about extremism, now that we’re at it.
Among the Jews it is an anomaly. A deviation from the rule. It is not the Jews blowing our people apart in the West in the name of a god. It is not the Buddhists demanding special treatment and bending our laws to fit their faith. It is not the Christians shouting loudest and working against everything the West stands on.
It is those our own politicians and the left have let in. In a suicidal empathy that mistakes self-erasure for goodness and calls its own self-defense hatred.
We are not being murdered in the name of the Jews. We are being murdered in the name of Allah.
