Sat down to write this while being inspired by my pastor, who preached The Word…

Sat down to write this while being inspired by my pastor, who preached The Word in church today. The photo of the cross I took on my training walk with my weight vest this morning. Everything is connected in the end.

Faith has always been personal. It lives in the heart, in prayer, in the quiet meeting between man and God. But personal is not the same as private. And yet one day we were told it had to be made private.

Stop talking about it. Keep it to yourselves. Be silent. Remove it from the public square. Faith was turned into something embarrassing. Something wrong. Something to be ashamed of.

And while Christianity was pushed out, we embraced another faith. A political faith. A religion of law. Islam.

For Islam, there was suddenly room. Islam, no one was asked to keep private. Islam was integrated more and more into our society. Across all of Europe. Across the entire Western world. And if you asked questions, you were called a racist.

Freedom of religion, they said. Except for the religion and the faith on which the entire foundation of Western civilization was built - Christianity. That one, we were told to keep to ourselves.

As time went on, we replaced God - the Creator - with the State, with money, with prestige, with science. And at the same time, without resistance, we allowed a religion of law to slip, little by little, into our systems and institutions, until it came to fill more space than our own faith, our own God - the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit.

How on earth could we allow it?

Let me tell you.

Because you took everything you stand on for granted. Because you forgot all those who went before you, bled for you, died for you, so that you could live in freedom, in love, in justice. And most of all: because you disconnected yourself from the One who created your soul and gave you life. The One who died for you and for me, so that we could live - free, redeemed, and in truth.

Christianity and our faith are personal. But they are not private. They are something we should be proud of and speak loudly about - so loudly that we never, ever again forget the foundation we stand on.✝️🪽❤️‍🔥
