STAND BEHIND ME
Politicians have failed. They are afraid to confront this problem and do not dare to take the necessary steps: passing new laws and rules, and setting clear ultimatums for how people must behave and live together with us. Instead, they have let it all drift. That is why things are escalating in the West, and we have every reason to be angry.
But I also see something else growing that I need to address: a rising hatred toward all Muslims, from people who can no longer tell the ideology apart from the people who simply want to live in peace.
Let me be clear before I go further. We MUST speak openly about immigration from non-Western countries and the problems it has created, no matter the cost. Political Islam must be stopped, and it must never gain influence in our civilization. There are many radicalized Muslims, and they must be met with full resistance.
But talking about "exterminating" all Muslims has nothing to do with Western values. Innocent women, children, and men who want to live peacefully beside us, on our terms, must not be judged for the sins of others. Those terms are what our freedom was built on.
Faith is a private matter. Everyone is free to practice theirs in peace, but that freedom does not entitle anyone to special treatment in the public square.
Those who refuse to live by our terms can no longer stay here. Who they are will reveal itself once we act with new rules and laws. It will separate the sheep from the goats. Many who do want to adapt cannot always say so out loud, because we all know the price.
If we condemn them all, we are no better than those we are fighting.
To the Muslims in the West who are not part of this.
I know you exist. You watch what is happening. I will say it straight: Islamism is a political ideology, not a religion. I have no patience for it, and no understanding of those who want to make Islam the law over a state or over other people. Your faith is between you and God. It is not a regime.
Many of you are stuck. You have one foot in your family's culture and the other in the country you grew up in, and you have been told you can only choose one. If you choose freedom, it costs you your family's honor and often your family. Sometimes much worse.
And those who speak out openly are often threatened by their own people, the very ones who should protect them. That is the truth, and it is said far too rarely. No one should have to pay that price for living honestly.
So here you are, caught in the crossfire. The Islamists call you traitors. And some people in the West have decided to lump all Muslims together and label you radicalized before you have even opened your mouth.
If you ever feel threatened, whether by the Islamists or by those who judge you without knowing you, stand behind me. They will have to go through me first.
