They write to me every day

They write to me every day. Israelis, Jews, people I have never met. “Thank you for standing with us.” “Thank you for not looking away.” I read every message. For some of them it means more than you’d think.

But I want to be honest about why I do this.

I don’t stand with Israel and I don’t protect the Jews to be liked. I do it because I could not live with myself if I stayed silent. I have to be able to look myself in the eyes. And anyone with a working conscience, a moral compass and a shred of western values left in them should be able to see what I see.

This is not two equal sides. On one side there is a country defending its people. On the other side there is Hamas, a terror organization that hides behind its own children and does not care if they die. They are not protecting Palestinians. They are using them. Death is not a loss to Hamas, it is a tool. No clever language changes that.

But Israel is not the whole story. It is the front line. What happens to the Jews never stays with the Jews. When a society starts hunting its Jews, it is already sick. They are the first target, never the last. So when I defend Israel, I am also defending you, even if you don’t see it yet.

Look at what happened after October 7th. Before Israel had fired a single shot in response, streets across Europe filled with people celebrating a massacre. Not protesting a war. Celebrating the murder of civilians. Here. In our own cities.

That should have woken everyone up.

The hatred did not arrive with the war. It was already here, imported and organized, waiting. The war just pulled the mask off.

And this is where I have to be precise.

I am not talking about the democratic Muslim who want to live and raise their families in peace. Many of them fled exactly the thing I am warning about.

I am talking about political Islam. Islamism. The project of the Muslim Brotherhood and everyone who carries its ideas. That is a political movement with a stated goal, and the goal is not integration. It does not want a seat at the table. It wants the table.

That movement does not fight only in Gaza. It works through the mosques it controls and the organizations it funds. It builds networks. And it leans on useful people inside our own institutions who repeat its language without understanding who they serve. It does not need to win a war here. It only needs us asleep, apologetic, and afraid to name it.

The red thread runs from Hamas in Gaza, to the demonstrations in our streets, to the quiet pressure to shut up and look away. Same ideology, same goal. Different fronts.

So no, this is not only about Israel. Israel is where the West gets to see its own future early. If we let them break Israel, we have shown the world exactly how the West falls.

And now I’ll say what most politicians don’t dare say out loud.

It may already be too late.

Not because we can’t see the problem. But because Islam has already grown so deep into our countries, our institutions, our schools and our neighborhoods, that almost no one dares touch it anymore. We let it happen for decades while we patted ourselves on the back and called it tolerance.

And our politicians? They talk. They talk and talk. They give speeches after every assault, every rape, every fire in the streets. But they don’t act. They are too afraid. More afraid of being called racists than of losing their own country.

Because if they meant what they said, they would start.

They would build a remigration plan. A real one. They would pull us out of the conventions that tie our hands and protect everyone except us. They would write new, hard laws for how you live in our countries as a guest. Who gets to stay. Who does not. What you answer to if you want to be here.

But they don’t. They tuck it away. They hide behind pretty words.

And the biggest of those pretty words is “freedom of religion”.

Listen closely. Islam is not just a faith you carry in your heart. It is a system. A political, legal system that tells people how to live, rule, judge and obey. It comes with its own law. And that law does not recognize ours. It places itself above ours.

So when we give Islam shelter under “freedom of religion”, we let a political system grow under a protection it would never grant us. We use our own freedom to let in the thing that wants to abolish it.

That is not freedom. That is slow self-destruction.

I don’t say this to spread fear. I say it because it is true, and because I still refuse to lie down.

And now someone is thinking: “Too late for what? What do you actually mean?”

That’s a fair question, so I’ll give you a straight answer.

Too late means the point where it can no longer be solved with words and law. Where the numbers, the neighborhoods and the power inside the institutions have grown so large that no government can turn it back without tearing society apart. Where those who want to end our way of life are no longer a group you can talk to, but a bloc you have to reckon with.

We are not there yet. But we are VERY close. I can see the road to it, and we are walking it right now.

That is what I mean by too late. Not that the sky falls tomorrow. But that there is a point where what could have been done with a pen can only be done with pain. And for every quarter we stay silent, we move closer to it.

Is it too late? I don’t know. Maybe. But I would rather fight too late than never have fought at all.

The only ones who can still turn this are those of us who refuse to stay silent.

So I won’t stay silent. None of us can afford to stay silent.
