Today we stood peacefully again with the Iranians, in Denmark, in front of the American embassy.
An event that took place in major cities around the world - organized by Reza Pahlavi. To show support, sympathy and love for the Persian people. To send a signal to the world: do not look away.
Give the Iranians your attention. Give them your voice.
While we stood there, one of my Iranian friends - who came to Denmark ten years ago with her family - told stories from her childhood in Iran.
They were not for children.
And speaking of children.
When girls are 9 years old in Iran they receive their first headscarf. Not an ordinary headscarf. One that covers the small girls’ chests - if one can even talk about a chest at that age (one cannot).
This is done because it is believed that when a girl turns 9 - she begins to be able to tempt men.
Read that again.
A nine-year-old girl. And it is her responsibility that the man is not tempted.
Imagine how sick an ideology it is that wraps children up from an early age - not to protect them. But to protect men from their own impulses. And places the responsibility on the child.
This is not culture or tradition. It is the systematic destruction of a child from the day she is old enough to be seen as a threat to an adult man’s self-control.
We also talked about Europe.
About what is happening. About what is coming.
There was no doubt in my Iranian friend’s voice. She knows what she is talking about. She has seen it from the inside. She has lived it.
She said: “Europe needs to be careful.”
If we continue on the course we are on - Islam will creep further and further in. Year by year. Generation by generation. You do not feel it in the beginning. It happens gradually. Almost imperceptibly.
Until the darkness takes over.
Exactly as demographic projections already dictate in large parts of Europe.
And yet.
And yet we have a left wing that hand in hand with Islamists calls everyone who says this a racist. That closes its eyes. That stays silent. That actively works against those who speak up.
Not because they do not know. But because their hatred of the West is greater than their love for the women, children and young men who pay the price.
That is betrayal. Not of a political party. But of the future and our descendants.
