We Stand Together Or We Go Under Separately
There is one connection. It just runs the opposite way from what most people think.
It all connects. The Jews, Iran, Europe, the Middle East, the culture war in the West. There is a common thread. It just doesn't run from the outside in. It runs from the inside out.
The West has lost its own foundation.
We built everything we have on a Christian understanding that man is made in the image of God. Rule of law. Freedom of conscience. The idea that power must answer for itself. Then we kept the fruit and cut the root. And we called it progress.
A person without a foundation cannot say no. Neither can a civilisation.
That is where the connection lies. Not in one enemy. In a vacuum. And a vacuum always gets filled.
Three things move into an empty room, and they do not arrive together.
Marxism comes first. It offers a salvation story without God, where the guilt always belongs to someone else, and where the West is the one thing that can never be defended. It takes away the right to say no.
Consumerism comes quietly. It asks nothing of you, and it leaves you too comfortable to try. It takes away the will.
And then the third one walks in through the door the other two left open.
Islam fills it, and that has to be said plainly. Islam is not a private faith that fits inside a secular frame and leaves it alone. It is an ideology. It arrives with a complete ordering of law, family, women, and the relationship between believer and unbeliever.
It has its own understanding of justice and its own idea of who gets the final word. That is not an accusation. That is what it says about itself.
Doctrines have no human rights, and this one can be read. The Quran contains commands to violence that cannot be explained away.
Muhammad's life functions as a normative model in a way Christianity has no parallel to. There is no theological separation between faith and state, the one "render unto Caesar what is Caesar's" gave the West.
And there has never been a reformation.
That is not a history lesson. It is the present tense. Sharia is incompatible with a free society. Blasphemy laws are barbaric. The position of women across large parts of the Muslim world is a scandal. Political Islam is a threat to the West.
And this is not the view of a fringe. When Muslims across the world are asked whether sharia should be the law of the land, the majority say yes. Not in one country. In country after country.
Anyone who tells you it is a handful of extremists has not looked at the numbers.
The three do not want the same thing. They despise each other.
The Iranians burning their headscarves are paying the price for the very regime people here confuse them with.
And hostility towards Jews is older than all of us. It existed in the Middle East long before Europe had its own version. It is in the Quran and the hadith.
What Europe added was something else. The blood libel. The race theory. The world conspiracy. The word antisemitism itself is German.
Europe built that apparatus and then exported it. It is running at full strength in the Middle East today, while Europe has forgotten it ever held the blueprints.
Both halves are true. We owe ourselves the honesty to see them.
But they all come through the same door. The one we left open ourselves when we decided we no longer needed to believe in anything.
And when you look at what actually walked through, one thing turns up on every single front.
The war against Israel. The regime that hangs its own daughters in Iran. The parts of Western cities where the police now go in twos. The blasphemy taboo that has crept back into our own debate under a new name.
Different countries, different decades, one common denominator. Islam.
You don't defend a house by shouting at the people walking in. You defend it by living in it.
Return to the foundation. The rest follows.
And then open your mouth. Out loud, where it costs you something. Silence is how we lost the house. Speech is how we take it back.
Jews, Christians, the Iranians burning their headscarves, the ex-Muslims, the Muslims who want a free society and pay for saying so, every Westerner who still remembers what this was built on.
We stand together or we go under separately.
And we say it to our own useful idiots too, the ones who chose to walk beside the very thing that would silence them first.
Speak!
