WHEN I CHALLENGE ISLAM THEY ALWAYS SHOW UP.
The ethnic Westerners with the same argument:
“Muslims are only a small minority. What are you afraid of?”
The naive and uninformed assumption here is that reshaping a society requires a majority.
It does not.
It never has.
Look at Iran.
In 1979 a relatively small but highly organised Islamist minority overthrew a monarchy and imposed a theocratic regime on an overwhelmingly larger and more secular population. The majority of Iranians were not Islamists. They did not want this. It happened anyway.
Because it never required a majority. It required organisation. Determination. And a population that did not see it coming until it was too late.
Islam has 1,400 years of documented experience in precisely this. Not theory. Practice. Refined and battle-tested over centuries.
When Islam spread through the Middle East and North Africa - Muslims were not in the majority. They achieved political influence as a minority. Introduced their legislation gradually. And once the demographic transformation was underway - it was impossible to reverse.
A determined and organised minority is enough to generate relentless pressure on institutions, media, schools and politicians. Enough to demand special treatment. Enough to threaten those who speak up. Enough to change what can be said in public.
We are already seeing it.
And what makes it particularly dangerous is precisely what the naive do not understand:
They see Islam as a religion. A private matter. A personal choice on a par with going to yoga or being vegan.
They do not understand that they are dealing with a complete political system. One of the most sophisticated systems of power acquisition ever developed by human civilisation.
And by the time they understand it - it will be too late.
