If the divide in Europe keeps growing at this pace, we will end up needing a two-state solution too. That may sound laughable. But the time you and I have been alive is only a blink in world history. And man has not grown wiser along the way.
We got televisions, computers and iPhones, but none of it has made us more conscious. If it had, we wouldn't see people eating and drinking themselves sick. Loneliness wouldn't be spreading, and so many wouldn't be living without love because we depolarized the sexes. Meanwhile we hand out diagnoses like never before and stuff people with medication as if it were candy.
And the list goes on, but I'll save it for another article. Let me get to the point.
Just look at how we are undermining the very foundation the West was built on. Europe is in revolt, and the Western countries have never been more divided. Canada is f*cked, and Australia is right behind.
The US is the country where they have finally started pushing back against the leftist ideologies rooted in Marxist thought that for decades have eaten away at everything our ancestors fought and died for, so we could benefit from it.
Freedom.
The freedom most people think preserves itself, because they have never known anything else. But that is not how freedom works.
Freedom has to be defended by every generation all over again. You don't inherit it like a house you just move into. It is more like a field that grows wild the moment no one tends it.
The generations who landed at Normandy, sat in the camps, or fled across borders in the clothes on their backs knew exactly what freedom costs. We have forgotten, because we never paid the bill ourselves.
That is exactly what makes it dangerous. A people who don't know the price will trade freedom away for a little comfort and for not being called something ugly. It happens so slowly that no one sounds the alarm. One law at a time, one excuse at a time.
History has seen this before. Empires fall from within, long before any enemy stands at the gate.
Which brings me back to the two-state solution.
We have political leaders who divide more than they unite. As long as that continues, the tensions in the population will continue too. And at some point a division will become necessary to keep it all from falling apart. Unless we failed to learn from history this time as well and end up at war with each other.
I'll say it again. It is naive to think it can't happen again just because you believe you live in "modern times." And precisely because you believe that, you are one of far too many who stay comfortable and watch in silence. That silence is what lets everything keep escalating.
And that is exactly what we must prevent. Stand up!
