They sell it as compassion for families facing complications. But that is not what the law says. It says the doctor’s judgment. And judgment stretches.
We have seen this film before. First it is “only the tragic cases.” Then the exception becomes the rule. That is how it goes once the limit is gone.
A healthy baby at 39 weeks now has less legal protection than it did a week ago. And the third and fourth wave feminists applaud on cue.
