What the West risks if the Democrats win
Borders become a suggestion again rather than a reality. Under the last Democratic administration, millions crossed the border, and nothing in the party's direction suggests it won't happen again.
Energy becomes more expensive and less secure. A climate policy that punishes oil and gas before alternatives can carry the load hits families and industry first.
Free speech comes under pressure. We already saw government agencies leaning on tech platforms to remove inconvenient views. With power restored, that becomes the new normal.
Children once again become a battleground for gender ideology in schools and sports, often without parents knowing.
Family, faith and nation get treated as problems to be managed. Identity politics replaces merit in our institutions.
The debt grows, and the bill is passed on to the next generations.
And let's be honest about who is pulling the party. The hard left, the communists and the socialists have never hidden that they want the existing order torn down. To them, private property, the nuclear family, Christianity and the nation-state are structures to be dismantled. They figured out long ago that it doesn't take barricades in the streets. It takes the schools, the universities, the media and the bureaucracy. The Democrats handed them the keys.
Why would a woman from Denmark write about an American election?
Because the United States, as the superpower it is, has always shaped the rest of the Western world. What happens in America always comes to Europe. That has been true of the culture, and it has been true of the ideas.
Identity politics and gender ideology took their modern form on American campuses and a few years later showed up in European classrooms and newsrooms. The pushback travels the same road. When America finds its foundation again, it gives the rest of us the courage to do the same.
For decades, Europe has leaned on American strength, militarily and culturally. A weak Washington is an invitation to those who want our civilization torn down. That is why an election on the other side of the Atlantic concerns us too, even if we don't cast the vote.
Right now the direction is the opposite. With Republicans at the helm, the border is a border again. Energy is being drilled, built and produced on American soil. Gender ideology is being pushed out of girls' sports and out of classrooms, and parents have their voice back. Merit is returning as the standard in the military, the universities and government. And for the first time in a long while, an American administration speaks of the West as something worth defending.
None of this is finished. It's a beginning, and a beginning can be stopped in a single election night. Everything set in motion since January 2025 can grind to a halt with a Congress that spends its time on investigations and obstruction. And in 2028, all of it is on the line again.
So this is a call to every American. Stand up and use your vote on November 3.
Midterms are often treated as a pause between the big elections. This year they decide whether the West keeps moving home toward its foundation or turns back.
The West was built by people who knew what they believed. It will only be saved by people who still do.
