Europe on Its Knees Before Islam
Eleven to fourteen percent. That is how much of Europe's population could be Muslim by 2050 if immigration continues, according to Pew Research. Many shrug. A majority of more than 85 percent should surely be able to decide for itself.
But power has never been about numbers. It is about will.
The figure is an average, and an average hides where power actually sits. In Sweden the share could reach around 30 percent. In Germany, France and the UK, 17 to 20 percent. And in the big cities, they are already well past that.
According to the 2021 British census, about one in three residents of Birmingham and Bradford is Muslim. In Luton it is 33 percent, in Blackburn and the London borough of Newham 35 percent, and in Tower Hamlets 40 percent. In Brussels the share is estimated at around a quarter, and far higher in districts like Molenbeek.
None of these cities has a Muslim majority. They don't need one. Daily life is shaped in the neighborhood, the school and the city council, and there a united minority of 30 percent is often stronger than a divided majority.
Some will think we are safe if immigration just stops.
We are not.
Even in Pew's scenario with no immigration at all, the share rises, because Muslims in Europe are younger and have more children. And that scenario assumed a stop back in 2016.
Since then, ten more years of arrivals have been added. A closed border can slow the development. It can never replace a majority that knows what it stands for.
Others comfort themselves that time will fix it, and that the children and grandchildren will become like us. The numbers say otherwise.
A major French survey from 2025 shows that young Muslims pray and fast more than their parents, and that 57 percent of them place sharia above the law of the land.
Danish (my country) registry data shows that crime among male descendants from non-Western countries is far higher than among the immigrant generation. Many have gained education and jobs, yet it has not brought them closer to Western values. Integration on paper is not the same as belonging.
And this generation meets a Europe where the churches stand half empty. Islam never needs to become the majority to dominate. It is enough to be the faith that is actually lived.
Because unity is what decides it. A group that votes as a bloc becomes the one politicians court, because it can swing a close election. Britain saw it in 2024, when independent candidates elected on a single issue took seats from established parties. A majority divided over a hundred questions, on the other hand, is taken for granted.
Lebanese-American author and risk analyst Nassim Nicholas Taleb described the mechanism in his book Skin in the Game.
The uncompromising minority beats the flexible majority, because giving in is always the easiest option for the majority. One side never moves. The other cares little enough to do so.
We can already see the result... cartoons no one prints, teachers who stay silent, critics living under police protection, and institutions that adapt before anyone has asked them to.
Sharia is Islamic law. It is built on the Quran and on the words and deeds of the Prophet Muhammad as recorded in the hadith, and it governs everything from prayer, dress and marriage to inheritance, punishment and relations with non-Muslims.
It does not stop at the front door. It lays claim to all of society. And it has broad support. In 2013, Pew Research found that a majority of Muslims in most of the countries surveyed want sharia as official law, 91 percent in Iraq and 84 percent in Pakistan.
In Europe, Dutch researcher Ruud Koopmans found the same year that two out of three Muslim immigrants in six Western European countries believe religious rules stand above the laws of the country.
The threat is not a small fringe. It is a deeply rooted political Islam that knows exactly what it wants, and that meets a West that has forgotten what it stands for.
The majority has grown comfortable. It has confused tolerance with surrender and peace with the absence of conflict. It believes freedom defends itself.
It doesn't!
Samuel Paty was beheaded for teaching free speech. Salman Rushdie was stabbed 34 years after his book was published. Every time we stay quiet to avoid trouble, the line moves one step. And it only moves one way.
A majority that won't stand up is not a majority. It is an audience, a willing spectator to the downfall of Western civilization.
