Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen now warns of an enemy growing from within.
Her own words from the parliamentary floor: “The problem is that a large enemy has begun to grow from within, and it is foreigners who have come to Europe. It is Hamas supporters, it is people who commit terror against European societies, it is people who do not recognize our fundamental European values… It is because of people with an Islamic background who do not want the open, free European society.”
Read it again. And then remember who is saying it.
How can anyone take her words at face value? I don’t get it. She has had PLENTY of time to prove that when you say you’re saddling up, you ride. Words are COMPLETELY meaningless if there’s no action behind them.
That’s how we humans read credibility. Not by what you say you’ll do, but by what you actually do. Again and again. Over time. It’s the action that gives words their value. Something most politicians still haven’t understood. And that’s why the whole damn mess keeps sinking deeper.
And let’s be clear about one thing… this is not a one-off. It is not a single moment of clarity. She has been running this rhetoric since the day she took office. Nearly 7 years of hard words about Muslims and Islam. But while the words have been sharp, the numbers have gone the exact opposite way. Immigration from the Muslim MENAPT countries has nearly doubled since she became prime minister in 2019. 84 percent more. Those are her own ministry’s figures. The words have been there for a long time. It’s the action that never comes.
For nearly 7 years she has held that office. Nearly 7 years in which she has had everything it takes to act. The power. The mandate. The chance to break conventions, tighten laws, dig in her heels. And she chose not to. She has sat with the key in her hand and watched the very problem grow that she now warns about.
And now, as the pressure from outside grows, from a people who feel the consequences in their own lives, now she and her allies suddenly have to say something else.
But nothing happens.
And it isn’t only the Danish government. It’s the entire Western left. They built the problem up over decades, and now that it can no longer be hidden, they suddenly discover a language that sounds like resistance. But it’s only sound. Pure virtue signaling.
I have ZERO respect for that. And no one should. It doesn’t deserve respect. It deserves to be called out for exactly what it is. Hypocrisy.
You hold the power to act, you sit on it for nearly 7 years, and then you put words in your mouth that clash with every single day you had the chance and didn’t use it.
Here is what should have been said: “We’re sorry. We were naive. We sold ourselves out for a misguided tolerance. We bowed our heads and gave far too much room to an ideology that wants only to undermine our Western values and our Christian foundation. We have woken up. And it stops here. Now we turn around and start the clean-up. Remigration. New laws. Out of the conventions that stop us from acting. Because if we don’t, what we know as Europe and the West will not exist in the future.” That is how a true and great leader would speak.
It wasn’t said. So the words mean nothing. You cannot talk your way out of what you had nearly 7 years to act on and chose not to.
