I got so sick and tired of watching every possible left-wing and propaganda flag take over the streets last summer that I bought a BIG Dannebrog - our Danish flag - and hung it on the balcony facing the street.
So depending on my mood, I either lay out the beautiful flag myself every day or turn it toward the other side. So everyone else can enjoy it too.
Because you know what? National pride is something we’re now supposed to quietly pack away in the West. Preferably with a little shame attached to it. You’re actually seen as slightly “extreme right-wing” and provocative if you fly your own flag out your window.
In England, Keir Starmer has apparently made sure the authorities will come after you if you put up a Union Jack or a St. George’s flag in public.
But raise the flag of the terrorist state of Palestine - and you get both recognition and police protection.
