It started as a protest against a war. Three years later, it has become something else.
Copenhagen, Paris, Amsterdam, London, Montreal , Sidney, ect. The same flags and the same slogans, chanted in unison across borders and languages. Behind what looks like spontaneous anger stands a movement that has learned to organize.
We call it free speech and pretend it is about compassion. Meanwhile, the left marches side by side with Islamists who share none of its ideals about women and freedom. The left in Iran did the same in 1979. Two years later, it was crushed by the very people it had helped into power.
This is no longer a protest. It has become a cult, and it carries none of the light the West was built on. Our civilization rests on faith in what is good and true. The cult rests on rage and on an enemy that must always be found.
The politicians are waiting for it to pass. It won't.
If no one else stands up, we will. Did you get that? WE WILL.
