Spent the day with Musse Mustafa Musse Sayegh A man who left Islam himself and felt every consequence of that on his own body and soul.
But it didn’t stop there.
He also founded the association Frafalden (The Apostates), where for the past six years he has helped other Muslims escape the grip of the ideology.
And finally, they have been recognized by the state to receive funding - far too little in my opinion - for their association, which until now has existed entirely on the backs of volunteers with their hearts in the right place.
Mustafa already has a model for how an association like this works.
I urge every European country and every politician to let the idea spread, and let Mustafa be the one who sets the direction. He knows better than anyone how important this is, and how to get started.
Europe needs more Mustafas. Not bureaucrats or consultants with reports. People who have paid the price themselves, and still chose to come back and help the next ones out.
That is called courage and leadership. And that is exactly the kind that actually works - if you are serious about taking on Islamism.
