To all my Iranian friends, near and far

To all my Iranian friends, near and far.

We have a man in Denmark, Søren Fauli (I can’t tag him. Tag him in comment if you want), a Danish filmmaker and public commentator, who believes that a propaganda poster from the mullah regime in Tehran is “a farsighted thank you from the Iranian demonstrators.”

Let that sink in.

His daughter traveled through Iran in 2019. She met hospitality, and she met exhaustion with the clerical regime. She brought home a poster from an anti-American demonstration in Tehran. It says “Thanks Mr. Trump for revealing the true face of the US,” with Trump’s face printed on it.

These demonstrations are not spontaneous popular protests. They are staged by the regime. The poster is made by the mullahs. It is regime propaganda against the Great Satan. It is not the voice of the people.

Now, in light of “this spring’s events,” Fauli calls the poster “farsighted.”

In other words, the regime’s propaganda was right all along.

This is a man who confuses the Iranian people with the Iranian regime. His own daughter experienced that the people are exhausted by the mullahs.

Yet he celebrates the regime’s message, because he doesn’t like Trump. It is the classic Western leftist reflex. My enemy’s enemy is my friend. Even when that enemy hangs gay men from cranes, murders women over a wrong hijab, rapes teenage girls in Evin, and shoots demonstrators in the streets (latest +40.000)

This is a man who projects his own anti-Trump sentiment onto a people he clearly does not understand, even though his daughter has been there.

Because most Iranians in 2026 are not thanking Trump for “revealing the true face of the US.” They are thanking Trump and Israel for hitting the regime. It is not the mullahs’ posters that tell the truth about Iranians. It is the women on the streets without headscarves. It is the men shouting “Death to the dictator.” It is the young people dying for freedom.

Søren Fauli uses the mullahs’ propaganda to score cheap points against Trump.

And calls it insight.

It is not insight. It is contempt for your fight.
