We live in a time that wants to abolish the healthy. The strong. The beautiful.
Not because it harms anyone, but because it reminds us of what we have given up. For if you shine too brightly, the darkness shows itself. It becomes blinded. And the blinded do not hate the light because the light is evil. They hate the light because the light reveals.
We have been told that everything is equally good. Equally healthy. Equally strong and beautiful. Because the woke ideology insisted that difference is oppression. That anyone who rises does so at someone else's expense. That discipline is a matter of taste, and that the one who rises before dawn and does the work stands in no different place than the one who stays in bed. It is a lie, and we know it well.
But no one is allowed to feel the distance anymore. The distance between what they are and what they could become. So we have blurred the goal, lowered the ceiling, wrapped it in pretty words and called it inclusion.
To ask a human being to rise, to make an effort, to become more... that is now called discrimination. Read it again. The one who says "you can do more" is made the enemy. The one who says "just stay down" is praised as the good one.
This is how a people dies. Not with a bang. With a shrug.
A small note, for the record. This does not say that you must be able to do what we do, or live as we live. This is not a measuring stick we hold up against you.
We are simply the result of a decision we made twenty years ago. The decision to pull in the opposite direction of the great narrative. The lie. That decision ended up changing us, our lives and our relationship, and it is the reason we stand here in the middle of life, stronger and more connected to one another than ever.
While the narrative stays the same. That a relationship sooner or later becomes "the everyday." That the fire burns out. That the body declines, gathers its ailments from midlife and before. That most of it only goes one way from here. Down.
For us it has only gone forward. Year after year. And it continues for many years still, because we built the foundation back when it mattered. The body we can maintain, because the cornerstones were laid. Wisdom, on the other hand, never stops. It still grows. Every day.
Light over darkness.❤️🔥🪽✝️
