We’re dropping halal. Instead, we say a prayer to Jesus Christ over the meat - then the Muslims can eat it too. Problem solved.
And here’s my real point.
Christianity has no dietary laws. No ritual slaughter. Jesus declares all food clean (Mark 7:19). We are free of the rules. And yet it’s the Christian part of the world that has to stand at the counter and conform to another faith’s regulations.
And yes, the video is of course ironic. The point is to show how insane it is that it’s the majority in Europe - mainly ethnic Europeans - who have to go searching for meat that is NOT halal slaughtered.
When did it become normal for the majority to adapt to a minority’s religious rules in their own countries? A political law-religion. In our own lands. With the certification money flowing back into the very mosques and schools that teach it.
